Visiting Gigi at Work!

This is one happy mama and Gigi!!! My kids are finally home in Texas where they belong! Love having my daughter close…and time to spoil my grandbaby!

Coming Home!

I am so excited that Amanda, Jason, and Aiden are moving home to Texas from West Virginia! We’ve had to go way too long without them! I cannot express the joy in my heart knowing they’ll be close by! Ready for some Gigi time!

I got to go to SXSWEdu in Austin this year. VERY different conference from TCEA, with a totally different focus. It was amazing! I got to meet Temple Grandin and had her sign a book for Zachary. Continue Reading →

Ride Hard or Go Home…We Did Both!

We woke up this morning and decided to head to our favorite little restaurant in town, The Porch, for breakfast. We took the Harley as it would be a good little test run to see if my foot was healed enough to ride. I had to wear my tennis shoes because I couldn’t get my foot into my riding boots – but it went well. After breakfast we ran into the rest of the gang getting ready to ride down to Maypearl to do some shopping (I wound up getting a new leather vest to put my patches on) and then on to Buzzard Billy’s in Waco for lunch.

We hit the road with the gang for a 204 mile round-trip ride. My foot and my butt were killing me by the time we got done, but it was fun to ride again and to see everyone!

Rockin’ it in Austin

My co-workers and I headed down to Austin for the annual Texas Computer Educators Association conference last week. It was, as usual, an amazing opportunity to learn about what’s going on in the world of educational technology. It usually recharges my battery and gets me excited about what I do for a living…this year was no different! We had fun, learned a lot, and got to enjoy the Spazmatics – a great 80’s cover band who played at the Thursday night social. Too fun!
