Yummy! Egg, sausage, cheese…all cooked inside French bread. Did I mention they are yummy? Recipe in post. Continue Reading →
Donovan saved the day for me this year when I decided to make chocolate covered pretzels for my friends at work. I had NO TALENT when it came to get the chocolate evenly covering the pretzels…but Donny was a natural at it! So he slaved away in the kitchen with me for a couple of hours to make sure my pretzels were perfect!
So…found another recipe on Pinterest (a website that I will completely credit with my odd desire to suddenly learn to cook). This one is a Parmesan crusted chicken recipe. It got mixed reviews. Tony and the boys didn’t like the texture of the topping, but I thought it was good. The chicken was incredibly moist and tasty! Continue Reading →
Served up another family favorite for dinner tonight. Tony teases me because I went through a phase where I made everything out of crescent rolls…lol. It’s true! But this one was a big favorite! There’s never any left over and it’s so easy to make (I really like easy after a full day at work!)
This morning I made a cinnamon french toast bake for breakfast. Found the recipe on Pinterest (my favorite)…and everyone really seemed to like it! I’ll have to remember to leave one section pecan free for John – he can’t do the nuts…but otherwise it smelled heavenly and everyone cleaned their plates! Here’s the recipe if you want to try it!
Another yummy dinner from a recipe idea on Pinterest! I baked the shrimp in the oven covered in butter and lemon juice. Boiled the pasta per instructions on the packet. I dumped 4 tbs of butter and a half cup of Parmesan on the hot, drained noodles…and then just mixed it all. The guys loved it!
Another yummy crock pot success. I threw together some chicken and dumplings today…and they were great! I made enough for leftovers for tomorrow. Gonna be just as tasty reheated. The chicken was moist and just shredded…and the sauce was tasty! Even the dumplings were good! Hooray!
So…last night I made bacon, egg, and cheese bagels and homemade hashbrown casserole. The bagels were awesome…if you ignore that I ruined half a package of bacon by burning it to a crisp. I hate bacon. It is my kryptonite. Thank you to all of my fabulous friends who sent me instructions on how to bake it! Hate that popping grease!
Speaking of popping…that leads me to tonight’s dinner…mini corn dog poppers and chili. Found the idea on Pinterest and decided to give it a go…yums! Everyone seemed to like them and they were super easy to make! I think this will be a good one to whip up for group gatherings like football games, or when the guys are hanging out in the garage working on their Harleys. Continue Reading →
Yep…here’s another one! Tonight I made Baked Ziti for my family. It was so good I even had some…first time to eat pasta in 4 years! Amanda and Jason were over and enjoyed it (Amanda took my recipe home with her!). Again, the best part for me was sitting around the table laughing and having fun. Continue Reading →
WHAT! My first attempt at pot roast was a BIG success! Hooray! AND after realizing how many people I have to feed and how small my crock pot is…my darlin’ husband bought me a HUGE 7 quart crock pot today! He loves me! Woot! What I loved most about the dinner was that we were all together. Continue Reading →
