“Thanksgiving was a lot of fun! We went to Bonnie and Ollie’s house and had a fantastic meal! Jay smoked a ham and a turkey (and Bonnie roasted a turkey as well). There was lots of food! I LOVED the ham and the mashed potatoes…even if this is all that I could eat (and I didn’t finish that!)

Here’s the beautiful cake that I bought for Bonnie’s birthday and then forgot to bring to her house! She blew out make believe candles on a picture of her cake on my iphone! ha ha!

TJ got a deer that morning in Alabama, and they sent us this picture.

The next day I got up really early and stood in line at Best Buy to get some appliances…only to find out that they were sold out (their computers kept crashing…I sat there for an hour while they tried to put my order in). So…I scurried over to Lowes and got an even BETTER washer and dryer and a dishwasher! Woo hoo! The washer and dryer are coming this Sunday and the dishwasher will be here Dec. 3rd. I’m so thrilled! We really needed ’em! We’re still using the same washing machine I had in college!

I picked Amanda up from the airport on Friday…she had a good visit in Alabama with a minimum of drama. So, thanks for your prayers! She’s looking for a full time day job…if any of you know of one, please let us know!

Today Tony was out putting the lights on the house and ringing the trees with light-up candy canes! I went out and bought us a gorgeous new Christmas tree! It’s 9ft tall (10 ft on the stand) and really full. I love it! This is the tree!!!! Woot! It’s a good thing we decided to buy our new pre-lit tree – apparently we took our old tree to Goodwill last year! And we both forgot we’d done it! LOL! Here are a few pics of us decorating the tree!

Tony is still working on chroming out the Harley…it’s his new obsession! He loves it! He works on it all the time…when he’s not in the woods hunting! He’s heading back to the lease tomorrow!

I’ve enjoyed our week off! Monday it’s back to work for two weeks and then I’m out for my surgery and Christmas vacation. Pray for me…it’s getting close enough that I’m getting nervous!

Tomorrow I’m doing some homework and cranking out some more scrapbooking pages! Gotta get that Disney album done! LOL!
